TARGETED EXPANSION OF THE PRODUCT RANGE WITH A VIEW TO MODERN, AGILE WORKING ENVIRONMENTS
On 1 October 2023, the Hessian office seating manufacturer KÖHL took over the product range and brand of the Sindelfingen-based company ONGO. As a result, KÖHL is expanding its own product range with a well-established programme that primarily meets the increased demand for office furniture for agile working concepts. In addition to production, the manufacturer is also responsible for the entire marketing of ONGO products in Germany and abroad.

A new web presence aesthetically showcases KÖHL's product diversity and focuses on the versatile application possibilities by staging individual living and working areas.

KONNEX impresses the jury of the German Design Award and is presented with the prize for "Excellent Product Design".

The new AIR-SEAT is a further development of the tried and tested AIR-SEAT, which has been in use at KÖHL for 10 years. The continuously adjustable air cushioning in the seat keeps the back in constant motion - even when you appear to be sitting still.

Despite top grades with a "one" before the decimal point for product quality, sustainability, field service support, delivery and complaints handling, specialist retailer orientation and support in the contract business, KÖHL was beaten narrowly.
KÖHL sees this as an incentive to be at the top of the podium again in 2024.

Just in time for ORGATEC, KÖHL is presenting new product lines that go beyond pure office use: With the modular seating system KONNEX, the upholstered armchairs KARISMA and the lounge tables KONTAKT, modern room concepts and common areas such as lounges, waiting areas and co-working spaces can be actively designed. An expansion of the product range with which KÖHL is equipping itself for the new demands on working environments and quality of stay.

Dynamic working in the office and home office: IWO, the flexible standing and sitting aid, is added to the product range as a supplement to the office swivel chair.

In order to proactively take advantage of the opportunities presented by the changing market environment and digitalization, KÖHL is broadening its base: Ingolf Matthée and Peter Wilhelmus will form the management duo in future, while Managing Director Thomas Köhl will take over as Chairman of the Advisory Board and withdraw from the operational business.

Launched with the new ANTEO ALU conference swivel chair: KÖHL wins the 2021 Ergonomics Innovation Award from the Institute for Health and Ergonomics (IGR). The IGR awards this prize to companies that make an exemplary commitment to people at work. In particular, the jury recognizes companies that develop effective ergonomic concepts and products.
