With the new fire safety certification according to DIN 66084 P-a, the KONNEX lounge elements and the KARISMA collection meet the highest safety requirements in the commercial sector.
The actual fire behavior of the entire furniture structure is tested—including the upholstery fabric, padding, fleece, and seat support. The basis for this is the so-called paper cushion test in accordance with DIN 54341. The test is only considered passed if the spread of flames remains clearly limited and the piece of furniture extinguishes itself within 15 minutes.
This makes the certified upholstered furniture particularly suitable for safety-relevant areas of application such as:
