The jurors from the German Design Award 2020 certified the KÖHL TEMPEO as “excellent design” and awarded the swivel chair in the “Office Furniture” category.
The chair designed by Justus Kolberg received special praise for the elegant lines of the backrest, which seamlessly merges with the WAVE upholstery at the front. The timelessly beautiful line pattern of the WAVE upholstery fabric was also recognized. The swivel chair impresses with a narrow silhouette and a high level of seating comfort due to numerous health-promoting functions.
Another visual highlight for the jury was the futuristic mix of white and black in the plastic components. For KÖHL, the TEMPEO award is far from the first design award. The ergonomics specialist has once again proven that comfortable seating, functionality and award-winning design are not mutually exclusive.

The German Design Award is the international premium price of the German Design Council with the aim of discovering and honoring unique design trends. Every year, independent and recognized design experts from business and science award high-quality submissions from product and communication design - all pioneering in their own way in the international design scene. The award honors special design solutions, but also recognizes the commitment of companies.
